While I found some valuable insights and research-backed information in "Midwifery Practice: Antenatal Care", I ultimately felt that the book was more of a comprehensive textbook than a practical guide for midwives. The dense, academic tone made it difficult to quickly find and apply relevant tips or protocols, which was disappointing given my expectation of a "practice-based" approach. Additionally, some chapters felt overly long-winded, making it hard to stay engaged throughout the book. Overall, I think this would be an excellent resource for students or those looking to deepen their understanding of midwifery principles, but may not be the most accessible or engaging read for practicing midwives seeking quick solutions and practical advice.
