February 21, 2023I just finished reading this book and I must say it's a decent read. The seminar proceedings cover a wide range of topics related to the role of midwives in preventing and managing non-communicable diseases, as well as their efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. While the content is informative and relevant to the field of midwifery, I found some of the chapters to be quite dry and lacking in depth. The writing style is also not particularly engaging, which made it a bit of a struggle to get through at times. Overall, I'd recommend this book to students or professionals in the field who are looking for a comprehensive overview of the topic, but it's not necessarily a page-turner.

April 27, 2021This book is a valuable resource for healthcare professionals, particularly those in the field of midwifery and public health. The seminar proceedings provide insightful discussions on the crucial role that midwives play in preventing and managing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in pregnant women, new mothers, and infants. The chapters are well-organized and cover a range of topics, from the importance of early childhood care to the impact of NCDs on maternal and child health outcomes. What struck me most was the emphasis on community-based approaches and the need for intersectoral collaboration to address these issues. Overall, I found this book to be informative, engaging, and relevant to current healthcare challenges.

June 02, 2020This book is a comprehensive collection of papers presented at the National Seminar 2019, focusing on the role of midwives in preventing and managing non-communicable diseases as a means to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. The compilation offers valuable insights into various aspects of maternal and child healthcare, providing practical information and evidence-based recommendations for healthcare professionals, particularly midwives. While some sections may be more specialized or technical than others, the book's overall content is well-rounded and informative, making it a useful resource for those working in this field or interested in learning more about it.
